Brand: Arctos,
Switch Type: Tactile,
Actuation force: 72g,
This is a nice tactile switch, worth trying if you like heavy tactiles.
(This review was written with only one switch sample so please read this was a pinch of salt.)
Test conditions: this switch was tested on an board with an aluminium switch plate and hard mounted with no gasket. No additional lube was applied.
Bump feel: Sharp and prominent.
Activation point: Just after the tail of the bump, so its harder to stop the input by just easing up on the pressure, before going back over the bump on the up stroke. It's in a pretty good place and definitely better then most switches.
Key stability: Quite stable and has minimal play in all 4 directions. out of my sample pack of 24 this was in the top 5 for least play, even beating some box stems switches.
Bottom out feel: Firm and responsive. Although the bottom out feels a bit softer then some of my other switches and takes the edge off. but still quite noticeable.
Sound: Quiet but not silent. Even without bottoming out this you can still hear it. when bottoming out it has a lower pitch. I don't know enough about keyboards to know if that means thocky, creamy or what, but it's not unpleasant.
Personal notes: Overall I liked this switch but wasn't my fav. and I can't articulate why, but it's definitely worth giving this switch a go, I was quite impressed with it's stability.
